Your Dietitian

You made it! I’m Rachel, a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping you cultivate a nourishing and joyful relationship with food. I believe in moving away from restrictive dieting and towards a more intuitive and sustainable approach to eating. I have extensive experience in weight management, family medicine and women’s health. I specialize in gentle nutrition for chronic conditions - such as diabetes, heart disease and CKD - as well as childhood and perinatal nutrition.

My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University and continued with a comprehensive dietetic internship at the University of Maryland. My early career focused on pediatric weight management, an experience that profoundly shaped my understanding of the complexities surrounding food and body image from a young age. This led me to recognize the limitations and potential harm of traditional weight-centric approaches and fueled my commitment to a more holistic and compassionate perspective in my counseling.

Why Rachel?

I am committed to helping you find confidence in making the best food choices that align with your personal goals and well being. My approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based nutrition science, and an understanding that nutrition is deeply personal. I strive to empower you with the knowledge and tools to make informed choices that support your overall health and well-being, without sacrificing the joy of food.

If you're ready to ditch dieting and cultivate a healthier, happier relationship with food, let’s do this!
